Remembrance Day Ceremony – Tuesday, Nov 11

All cadets are to meet at the Mission Branch 57 Royal Canadian Legion, 

32627 Logan Ave, Mission 1, BC V2V 6K4, for NO LATER THAN 9:30am (0930hrs). Attendance will be taken.

Dress is full C1's (Full dress uniforms with medals). Field Training Uniforms (FTU's) if you have no full dress uniform, and a white dress shirt, black dress pants, black dress shoes, black tie, and a suitable jacket if you have no FTUs.

Expected to be done by 12pm (1200hrs). Lunch is available at the legion afterwards for a charge.

Flag Party will need to gather all our whites (frogs, gloves, belts) and the squadron banner/Canada flag x2 if possible from the Squadron and bring them to the Legion. Meet at the Squadron for 8:30am (0830hrs) to retrieve those items.

We still need 11 more cadets to volunteer to do 2 Retirement Home Services, possibly reading poems. Send an email to: 521aurorarcacs@gmail.com saying you can help with the services. Include your Rank and First and Last Name, 

The locations are as follows: Chartwell Cedarbrooke Retirement Residence, 

32331 7th Ave, Mission and Chartwell Carrington House Retirement Residence, 32679 6 Ave, Mission. Cadet volunteers will be given their specific location when they arrive at the Legion for the main ceremony at 9:30am (0930hrs). Be at the residence NO LATER THAN 1pm (1300hrs). Some refreshments are provided. Pickup will be just after 2pm (1400hrs). Lets show our support for our local Senior Citizens

Poppy Day – Sunday, Nov 09 2025 – Mission Legion

Again we are doing another Poppy Day for the Legion on Sunday, Nov 09. Those that signed up for Poppy Sale shifts, make sure you arrive 15 mins prior to your shift start time. Remember that you are out in the public and are representing not only the Squadron, but Cadets in general. Those doing the Poppy Sales must show up in your uniform or if you do not have a uniform, dress is black shoes, black pants, black tie, and white dress shirt. Make sure to dress for the weather as well (this means a warm jacket).  Parents: Thank you for your help for last week, and we kindly ask for your continued assistance for this week.

Short-fuse: “Dead-Eye” Dodgeball Tournament – 278 RCACS Hosting – Sunday December 07 2025

278 Cormorant RCACS is hosting a Dodgeball tournament on Dec 07, 2025 at Panorama Ridge Secondary School (13220 64 Ave, Surrey BC V3W1X9) from 0900hrs – 1600hrs.

We are looking to send a team to the tournament. We need 4 cadets, ages 12 – 15, and 4 cadets, ages 16 – 18. There is space for 10 – 18 teams. The sooner we get 8 players the better chance of securing a spot in the tournament.

If interested in participating, please send an email to: 521aurorarcacs@gmail.com stating your Rank, Full Name, Age, and that you are interested in being on the team. First come, first served.

Meals will be provided. Water will be available on site. A water bottle will be required. Transportation to tournament site will be the responsability of the cadet to get there. Once our team has 8 players, more details will be given out.
